A few more months to go before the World Islands Festival is there, but all IR-DX members are invited to participate in the WIF Edition 2025 which will be held between 6th and 8th June 2025.

If you like to participate, please inform the IR-DX HQ also, so we can announce your activity !

You can participate in several ways, like portable, mobile or you live on an island.

Island activations ?

The first week-end of June was traditionally the rendez-vous for all islands hunters, taking part in the Island Festival.
Unfortunately the Island Festival website is down and we don’t know if something is going to happen or not this year.

Maybe we could keep this well known date and do something anyway, even unofficialy , without ranking etc ?

To IRDX members: feel free to be active from IOTA, IOTA N/V, IWI … HQ is here to support , as usual !

Le premier week-end de juin était le rendez-vous traditionnel des chasseurs d’îles, qui participaient à l’Island Festival.
Malheureusement, nous n’avons pas eu d’infos des organisateurs depuis longtemps et le site du Festival est fermé. On ne sait pas si quelque chose est prévu ou non cette année.

Ceci dit, pourquoi ne pas conserver cette date, bien connue et continuer à activer des îles, même “non officiellement”, sans classement etc , juste pour le plaisir ?

Avis aux membres IR: n’hésitez pas à activer des IOTA, IOTA N/V, IWI, le HQ est là pour aider si nécessaire.

IR Island Festival 2018 / Flora and Fauna Green Party 2018

This is to remind you of two radio events, you can take part in:

  1.  Green Party 2018 : World Wide Flora Fauna activations, from May 1st 2018 to August 31st 2018. Several IR members or IR teams are taking part to this event, and it’s not too late to register ! See links below.
  2. Island Festival 2018 : IOTA, IOTA n/v and IWI activations. This event is now a major event on 11mtrs and it has been organised for many years. IR members will take part, as usual, and you still can join the Festival, which will take place 2 and 3 June 2018. See links below.

Je souhaitais vous rappeler que vous pouvez prendre part à deux événements radio intéressants :

  1. Green Party 2018: activations de références WFF (Flora Fauna). Les activations sont possibles du 1er mai au 31 aout, mais il n’est pas trop tard pour participer. Nous avons déjà plusieurs membres qui vont activer des références, mais n’hésitez pas à nous rejoindre, surtout qu’il y a des références un peu partout ! Voir les liens ci-dessous.
  2. Island Festival 2018: activations d’îles (IWI, IOTA, IOTA n/v). Tout le monde connaît cet événement qui a déjà lieu depuis des années et rencontre toujours un grand succès. Là aussi, nous avons déjà des membres qui vont activer des îles, mais plus on est de fous, plus on rit, donc n’hésitez pas à participer ! Il est encore temps. Là aussi, des îles, il y en a un peu partout. Voir liens ci-dessous.

IF 2017 RESULTS

Dear friends, dear members,

 

As the IR manager for IR island activities in the 2017 contest, and also as an island activator and hunter, I wanted to congratulate ALL teams from all groups, and thank ALL hunters.

Special TNX to the Island Festival Organisation for the great work (fast answer to all queries, and lightening fast results calculation!!!).

I already looking forward to participating to the 2018 event! 2017 was a success TNX to all involved.

 

Sincere BRAVO to the winners in each category !

 

Now, as the manager for IR activities and as a vice President of the group, I want to say a few words to the IR members: 

Guys, I'm delighted by the EFFORT you've done ! Great activating and great hunting ! 

International Radio made the show again ! We can do it if we really want ! 

The group is ALIVE and we have TOP quality members – I hope many "sleeping" members or members mostly active for other groups will consider again using the mythical IR callsign.

We have a fantastic callsign, and incredible history and a great "way of life" (The Spirit), so enjoy the radio and help us making IR BIG again !
